Where is Vienna?
Vienna is the capital city of Austria. Austria is a country in Western Europe. There are no kangaroos in Austria. No koalas either. No one ever cries, "A dingo ate my baby" or "Throw another shrimp on the barby" here. Vienna is also not the city with all the canals; that's Venice. Venice is in Italy. Italy is shaped like a boot. Austria is kind of shaped like Kentucky.
I am also aware that there is a Vienna, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC. I don't live
there either.
What do you do in Vienna?
I am a teacher at Vienna Christian School. I serve as the computer teacher for grades 7-12, where my classes range from typing to computer programming. I also serve as a coach for various sports teams at the school in addition to working as a class sponsor. The school is
vital to the missions community in Austria as it provides a low-cost, high-quality education for missionary children.
Do you belong to a specific missions organization?
Yes. The school and most of its teachers belong to a missions organization called
Resourcing Christian Eduction(RCE), International.
Didn't you used to have a cat?
Yes, I used to have a cat named Chestnut that I carried over here from the US. She ran away
from the people cat-sitting her during the summer of 2003.
What college did you attend?
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Home of the Fightin' Quakers!
