This past Saturday the ICSV track team woke up at the crack of dawn, traveled to school, and promptly fell back asleep as we drove 3 hours to Budapest for first and only track meet this season.
I couldn’t be any prouder of how this team competed on Saturday. Though we only took 10 athletes to the meet, we managed to pull out 3rd place (out of 5 teams). And we had a lot of fun doing it!
Here is our medal breakdown:
Gold: Boys Shot Put, Boys Discus, Boys 400M Hurdles
Silver: Girls 4X100
Bronze: Girls Long Jump
We also had several close 4th place finishes and plenty of personal bests. This team is such a pleasure to coach and a lot of fun to be around. I can’t wait til next year!
