After running the full Marathon last year, I was ready for a little less running this time around.
Solution: Marathon Relay. Four of us teachers each ran a leg of the Marathon, finishing it in about 3 hours 17 minutes. Here is our official “after” picture. As you can see, we all wore authentic VCS Track uniforms.
I’ve been told people don’t want to see this picture because we’re all in track shorts, but I disagree. I think you really do want to see these pictures(Click Flickr link on the right for more).
Question: Which kind of shorts are best for running?
FACT: Running Shorts.
It was a hot day, but our team did well and we were well supported by our encouraging staff…even the ones that hate running. 🙂
So, did you all win something? What are the medals for?
We won medals for “Best Dressed Team.” Actually everyone who finishes, and perhaps even those who don’t, receive a medal. Frankly, I’d rather have a T-Shirt, but the medal does make you feel as if you’ve accomplished something truly great.
