Our family pictures are only complete when we take them at the ocean. We had the ashes of our precious Madeleine buried off this coast. This is the one place where we can all be together this side of heaven. My three loves are each a part of me.

This year I’m participating in a photo challenge facilitated by Sarah over at My Four Hens. The goal is to take one picture a week for 2015. Each week Sarah gives us a new theme to help get our creativity going. I’m super excited about this because it will give me a little kick-start each week. My goal is to grow and learn and use my camera much more often.
The theme for week one is “fresh.” Here’s my entry:
This morning we woke up to fresh rain. As you can see by the leaf, even the trees in California are confused by our weather. This January day feels and looks like fall.
Best Face of 2014

The January challenge at I Heart Faces is “Best Face of 2014.” This picture right here is my favorite face picture of 2014 for so many reasons. The number one reason is, of course, just how very much I love this particular face. I cannot get enough of her. Just cannot.
