For her birthday, our friend Bethany wanted to go to the Naturhistorishces Museum Wien (Vienna Natural History Museum). It turned out that the day we wanted to go, the museum was offering a rooftop tour in English. It was awesome! We had great views of the city, plus we were also the only people on the tour which was super cool. You can see all the pictures here: Rooftops of Vienna

Family Fun Day
May 13th was Ascension Day, and in Austria that’s a national holiday. Each year on Ascension Day VCS has a school-wide picnic called Family Fun Day. It’s one of my favorite days of the year because everyone is there: students, parents, siblings, friends. The weather was great this year, so there was plenty going on. Kids and adults alike were playing basketball, soccer, and badminton. There were also water fights, frisbee games, and skateboarding. One of the best parts of the day is eating all the delicious foods that the families bring. Filipino noodles = YUM! What a fantastic day!

Things You Can See While Your Husband Runs a Marathon
Clockwise from Top Left:
A grown man dressed as a baby, running a marathon.
A tree, being chased by an orangutan with an ax, running a marathon.
A man running a marathon in his silk boxers.
A 60 something gentleman, on a motorcycle that is airbrushed with a castle in the clouds, wearing leather pants and a helmet with a woman airbrushed on it, blaring George Michael from his stereo, leading the marathon.
