Honeymoon Pictures

Eiffel Tower

After several months of procrastination and a frightful day where I inadvertently deleted all the photos, (Oh, yes I did) our honeymoon photos are finally up on Flickr. Our moms may be the only people as excited as I am, so this post is especially for them. 🙂

Enjoy!

My Friend & I

April 6, 2009 by kleineklein

This week at I Heart Faces, the theme is “My Friend & I.” I’m kind of excited about this because I really like my two photos. 🙂

button-kidsMy kids entry is a picture of two students whom I just adore. I also like this picture because it is the very first one I edited with any kind of effects.

Ice Skating

button-adultsMy adult entry is a photo I love because it is a picture of two friends that I love. This is a photo from when Sally, Anne, and I went to London. We were on our way to see Stomp! They are all ready for the show. If you squint you can see the Stomp sign in the background. I came to Vienna with Anne and Sally, but they both went back to the States last summer. I miss these ladies quite a lot!

VCS Elementary Wiki

April 2, 2009 by kleineklein

Elementary Kiddos One of the projects I’m working on this year is developing a wiki page for the elementary school. I’m using it more like a static webpage than a collaborative wiki, but it suits my purpose fairly well. It’s definitely a work in progress, but my goal is to have the links that each class needs to use in the lab, as well as in class, readily available to them. I like that with the wiki I can easily do seasonal pages (like Easter Fun) then hide them until next year. I’ve just added both Teacher Resource and Homework Helpers pages that I’m hoping will be helpful to everyone. Feel free to check it out, and if you have any sites that you think would be helpful, definitely let me know.

I Am Second

March 30, 2009 by kleineklein

A few weeks ago our friend Thomas introduced us to a website called I Am Second. The site is full of video testimonies about what it means to follow Christ. They are very well done and tell a wide variety of stories. I highly recommend watching. Here are a few that touched my heart:

Jason Castro (Yes, I’m a huge American Idol fan. 🙂 )

Karen Green

John Meador

Nate Larkin

Shawna

Brian Welch

I’m curious – which ones do you like?

No Flash!

March 24, 2009 by kleineklein

This week’s theme at I Heart Faces is “No Flash!” The flash is actually the one thing on my camera that I feel comfortable turning off, so this week is great. 🙂

Here’s my kids’ entry. It’s from a day ice skating. I think that all of my favorite student pictures come from ice skating. They’re just so happy out there.

My adult entry is  a picture from our trip to Prague a few years ago. It’s a big tradition in much of Eastern Europe to paint hollowed out eggs and hang them from pussy willow branches for Easter. During Lent, there are Easter markets (Ostermärkte) everywhere. I try to limit myself to two eggs a year so I won’t get carried away. They are simply beautiful, and so much variety. While we were in Prague, we met this lady who was hand painting her eggs right there while we got to watch. Amazing!
